Is it possible to just complete the units required for GST/BAS?
Yes, if you have completed a bookkeeping or accounting qualification of an AQF level 4 or higher, such as a diploma, but have not completed an equivalent basic to GST/BAS taxation principles in that course, you can enrol in our BAS Agent Skill Set now for $447.
You also have the choice to enrol in a single of the following units for $330:
- FNSBKG404 – Carry out business activity and instalment activity statement tasks
- FNSBKG405 – Establish and maintain a payroll system
Do you offer RPL for the BAS and Payroll units?
The Tax Practitioners Board requires formal assessments for FNSBKG404 and FNSBKG405, you will be able to get RPL if you hold the superseded versions FNSBKPG404 or FNSBKPG405. We also believe that it is in the best interests of the learner to complete those units rather than having to gather evidence suitable for RPL assessments so that your qualification meets the BAS Agent Registration requirements of the Tax Practitioner Board.
What happens if I don’t want to continue my course?
Just let us know and you will receive a ‘Statement of Attainment’ for all the units you have completed. Your Statement of Attainment issued by LIV BOOKKEEPING will be recognised by all other Registered Training Organisations and TAFEs throughout Australia.
At LIV BOOKKEEPING we keep your records on file for 30 years – so if you misplace or need another copy of your Statement of Attainment you can easily get another copy from us.
Will I receive feedback from my facilitator/tutor?
Yes. You can call on your facilitator at any time for guidance and feedback on any aspect of your course. Each time you submit a completed assessment task you will receive feedback from your facilitator detailing what you did well and where you can improve.
What will I get when I complete my qualification?
When you successfully complete your qualification you will receive a Certificate and Statement of Results from LIV BOOKKEEPING confirming your achievement. These documents will be issued within one business day of you completing the course and emailed to you. If you’re an Australian resident, your achievement will also be recorded on your Unique Student Identifier (USI).
Your Statement of Results issued by LIV BOOKKEEPING will be recognised by all other Registered Training organisations throughout Australia.
Do you offer e-learning?
Yes we do offer e-learning so you can access everything you need from anywhere in the world you have an internet connection. All learners enrolled in accounting and bookkeeping courses with LIV BOOKKEEPING receive access to our online learning area.
Am I assigned a tutor/facilitator for the course?
Yes. Unlike many other RTO’s who are constantly rotating facilitators, at LIV BOOKKEEPING you’ll be allocated a primary facilitator who will be your primary point of contact for support. Your facilitator will also follow up with you and provide guidance and assistance as you require.
What assessments will I have to do?
All assessments are competency-based assessments, which include a combination of written questions, short-answers activities and practical tasks.
Once completed you will required to upload them online via your eLearning area.
The Tax Practitioners Board requires that two assessments in the Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Certificate IV in Accounting are supervised whilst being sat, these two assessments are for the units:
- FNSBKG404 Carry out business activity and instalment activity statement tasks
- FNSBKG405 Establish and maintain a payroll system
You will be required to nominate a suitable invigilator to supervise you during your examination (such as a Doctor, Dentist, Lawyer, Staff Development Officer, Director of Nursing, Justice of the Peace, Police Officer, School Principal or Assistant Principal, Librarian, an Examination Officer from any RTO, TAFE, University or similar Educational Institution or Examination Centre).
